Born from a chef's overambitious ritual in the kitchens of Gastrothia, the Sentient Souffle drifts through dining halls demanding appreciation it has clearly earned. It sulks dramatically when ignored, doubles in size when complimented, and has been known to follow adventurers for miles simply to watch them eat lesser foods with visible disappointment. Its hide has developed an extra layer of rind-like toughening from years spent marinating in the aromatic vapors of Gastrothia's famous fermentation vaults. When cornered, it erupts in a torrent of scalding custard that smells absolutely wonderful and still somehow hurts.
