A Gearwork Sentinel is an autonomous guardian constructed from interlocking brass and iron plates, animated by a compressed-steam core and a sliver of bound elemental force. They are commissioned by Cogspire guilds to protect vaults, workshops, and restricted districts. Each sentinel carries a warden-seal etched into its chest plate, identifying its owning guild.
