The cinderback wurm is a thick-bodied predator native to the volcanic ridgelines and ash-choked ravines of the Emberwild Reaches. Its scales are perpetually superheated, glowing faintly orange at the joints, and it leaves a trail of scorched earth wherever it travels. Wurm dens are identifiable by rings of blackened stone and the acrid smell of sulfur. They are fiercely territorial and will pursue intruders deep into the ash wastes before turning back.
